  1. How can I trust the quality of the tours that I buy from Asia Travel Needs?
    Asia Travel Needs is a registered professional company that offers great travel services to thousands of happy clients. All staff have a minimum of 2 years customer service experience and receive ongoing sightseeing tour information updates and expert operational guidance from our many tour providers.   2. How do I book and pay for a tour?
    Once you have found a tour that you would like, please email us with your booking details (your full name, nationality, email address, package name, departure date, number of people, and any special requests...).
    Or skype us and talk with us about the options you would like included in your trip and we will customise a tour for you.
    Once we have confirmed the details, we will send you an emaill confirmation with our payment information. With this, you can choose your preferred payment method and give us a deposit. Final payment is required before you travel.
    If you would like us to book flights, we require full payment of the flights in advance.
  3. What if I need to cancel or change my itinerary?
    We allow you to change your dates with no additional cost. We must receive your request in writing - fax or email - and we will confirm receipt of the change. Complete cancellations of a tour does involve a cancellation fee, which depends on how far in advance of the tour you advise us. For each tour, the cancellation policy depends on the status of service we are providing. Please contact us for any changes or cancellations as soon as possible.
  4. Do you offer longer or more customized tours?
    Most of our tours on the website, can be customized to your requirements.
    If you have questions about a particular tour or would like a longer, shorter or tailor-made tour, please contact us at or by skype, and our travel experts will design the best travel itinerary for your specific needs.
  5. What if I have special needs for the tour?
    If you have special requirements? For example: a large group, young children, infants or older persons, physical limitations, or special transportation needs. Please let us know, and we can work with both you and the service provider (restaurant, hotels, transportation, etc) to ensure that we meet your needs.
  6. How can I book rooms at the hotels or resorts?
    Simply select the hotel in which you would like to stay; or email, skype or call us with your requests) and we will make recommendations. Once you have selected a hotel, proceed with "Book Now" and please fill in all customer and payment information, as well as any special requests. We will confirm the availability of the hotel, and send you payment details along with your tour booking information.
  7. When do I need to pay for hotel/resort booking?
    All hotel/ resort reservations must be paid in advance and immediately after booking the hotel/resort. Unfortunately, hotels and resort bookings cannot be held without payment.
    We can receive your deposit payment through PayPal to hold your hotel/resort bookings.
    If you are paying by credit card, your credit card will not be billed until after we have confirmed the availability of the hotel. If you would prefer to pay by cash or bank transfer within Cambodia, we will confirm the availability of the hotel with you and make arrangements for payment.
  8. Can I make a reservation for someone else?
    Yes, you can make a reservation for someone else. Simply fill in the name of the guest for the booking and your contact details. You can also pay by cash, PayPal or bank transfer for someone else. However, payment using a credit card must be completed by the traveller (the name on the credit card must match the name of the guest.)
  9. Can I make payment for someone else using a credit card?
    No, you cannot make a payment for someone else using a credit card. The name on the credit card must match the name of the guest.
  10. How do I know my reservation is confirmed?
    After you make an on-line booking, we will confirm your booking. Your reservation is not confirmed until you receive our confirmation email.
  11. I am not ready to book right now, what should I do?
    For flights:, Flights must be paid for when booking.
    For hotels:, A deposit must be paid when the booking is made and final payment arranged as soon as possible.
    For tours: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
  12. What currency your prices are in?
    All of the prices on our website are in US Dollar.
  13. Do you accept credit card?
    Yes, we accept MasterCard and Visa.
  14. How many payment methods do you offer and what are they?
    Now we offer 4 payment methods: Cash, Bank transfer, Secure online payment.
  15. Do you have electronic air tickets?
    Yes, we have Electronic tickets.
    However, some routes still use paper tickets.
  16. I just received my flight ticket and there is a problem with it. What should I do?
    Please contact the customer service team immediately.   17. What happens if I make an airline booking and then do not confirm or pay?
    Fights must be paid for when booking. We cannot book your flights until payment has been received.
    If you confirm the booking, but arrange to issue and pay the ticket later, we will inform you of the deadline for payment. If you do not make payment before this deadline, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
  18. When is the best time to travel Cambodia?
    The climate is tropical with three seasons. The most pleasant being the dry season from November to February when temperatures are cooler. The hot season lasts from March to May with average temperatures in the high 90s (40c). The monsoon season, which is both hot and humid, is from June to October. The wettest months are August to September.
  19. What level of comfort can I expect?
    It may vary from one trip to another pending on the tour. On all our trekking trips we stay overnight at local family in hilly and mountainous area. Passengers must carry their own gear. Your meals are prepared. On beach escape and touring holidays we stay in local hotels with fully supported staff and amenities. All you have to do is enjoy yourself.
  20. What is the accommodation like?
    Hotels range from budget to five-star. While deluxe properties are located only in the major cities, the charming and quaint family run accommodations have varying levels of private facilities. Asia Travel Needs stays in touch with hotel developments in order to offer our clients the best available and most preferred lodging.
  21. How safe is travel in South East Asia?
    Above all, your well being is of paramount importance on all our trips. Our local staff constantly reviews every aspect of your holiday and our expert guides are fully conversant with the demands of travelling in remote and isolated regions.
  22. What about travel insurance?
    Travel insurance is compulsory for any passenger. It is advised that all travellers should have travel insurance covered before your departure. This will be really helpful in case of medical emergency evacuation. The travel insurance will cover against Hospital and Medical expenses, expenses as a consequence of accidents and/or unforeseen serious illnesses.
  23. Do I need to have vaccinations before the trip?
    No vaccinations are officially required by the Cambodian authorities, however immunization against cholera, hepatitis, typhoid, tetanus, polio and Japanese encephalitis is advised. Please consult your GP for further medical advice. Guests are encouraged to bring mosquito repellent and to wear long-sleeved shirts and slacks after dusk. In addition to an ample supply of any prescription drugs you are taking (and a prescription in case a re-supply is required), bring medicines for: Headaches, diarrhoea, constipation, insect bites, sore throats, eye drops, cuts, etc.
  24. What about the food?
    Your good health is a top priority on all our trips. We ensure the food is prepared by genius cooks who ensure high standards of hygiene, using fresh foods and who serve a sensible combination of local and Western dishes. We also cater for vegetarians and non-seafood eaters. Where meals are not provided with the tour, your guide will identify suitable restaurants.
  25. Who is my guide?

  27. Can I organize my own group?
    Our website is just the starting point. We encourage you to design your own itinerary and see what you want to see. The tours online are suggestions and can be tailored to make your memorable holiday exactly as you want it to be!
  28. What is included in my trip?
    Depending on the specific trip our inclusions vary from trip to trip, as an indication we include accommodation in clean, suitably located hotels with local character on a double/twin share basis with daily breakfast; all transfers & transportation including boat ride, experienced English speaking guides; domestic flights where specified in the itinerary; meals as stated in the trip; and other specific arrangements for special interest tours.
  29. Are children charged the full room rate?
    Rates are normally reduced for children under the age of 12 years.
  30. Are there any hidden cost or extra charges?
    Most of our tours include all transport, breakfasts (and some meals), accommodation and services you will need in the tour. Other costs are associated with additional meals, activities and personal shopping. Please read though the inclusion and exclusion portion of the trip and you will find more specific information about it. We believe our quality, inclusions and daily rates make our holidays offer great value for money.

    Credit Cards - In South East Asia, credit cards are accepted at most hotels and better restaurants and shops.
  33. Travellers Cheques
    You can change your travellers cheques in most major cities but you need to bring your passport. Facilities such as Cash Passport or EFTpos may be easier to manage.
  34. ATM Machines
    Throughout South East Asia ATMs are available in most major cities. US dollars, preferably crisp clean bills, are accepted almost everywhere in all of the countries listed above.
  35. How can I apply for a visa? 
    Visitors must obtain visa approval prior to entry. We offer the visa approval service. The procedure can be summarized as follow:
    1. Passport details and arrival, departure dates are to be sent to us no later than 14 day prior to your departure. (You can send by email, fax; and we need your full name as stated in your passport, gender, date of birth, passport number, expiry date, nationality, arrival & departure date, and which Cambodia Embassy or Consulate you would like to have your visa stamped.)
    2. We submit these details to the Cambodia Immigration Department, who will then confirm the visa approval and send it by fax/telex to the Embassy or Consulate in your home country. We send you the approval document via email.
    3. You need to take your passports and 2 passport sized photos to the Cambodian embassy to get the visa stamped (stamp fee are at your cost).
    You can also use the e-Visa system through the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs online through the Ministry's website ( You need to provide a scanned passport size photo. Payment is completed by credit card. There is a charge of US$25 for a 30 day visa (three month validity). The process needs 3 days. The visa is issued via an e-mail which you print and attach to your visa.
    The Ministry recently announced that e-visa entry points now include Siem Reap International Airport, Phnom Penh International Airport, the Bavet - Moc Bai border crossing, the Poipet - Aranyaprathet border crossing and the Koh Kong - Had Lek border crossing.
